Out of the past...our front entrance in 1985!

Take a look at more of Sue's collection of old photos of MHS. Great stuff!

Those two orange doors were our front doors back then. Today, the location of those doors is the brick archway we pass through as we enter the lobby, just in from the elevator. On the left, the window with the air conditioner is today in the middle of the guidance office. And on the right, that was a conference room which is today the principal's office. That white box on the wall to the left of the doors was a pay phone....no cell phones back then!

In the upper left, the first window on the left is today the entrance to the hallway which goes up to the library. That window had a large radiator in front of it, a favorite place for students to sit! The large middle window was in a big, auditorium-like room, 212, which is now the "interior" science and math rooms, on the boys' room and girls' room sides, respectively. The far window is still there, at the top of the stairs of the science wing.

The orange door (all the doors matched the students' lockers, also orange), on the far left led into a stairwell, which went up to the "math hallway," just in from the window on the upper left. The room at the top of that stairwell was 215, across from the girls' room. That hallway is still the math one, with the exception of the cooking room, which we called "Home Ec" back then. The sewing side of that room is now another math classroom.

Today's "clock tower" and the library, computer lab, and room 211 were constructed in 1992.
