Mendham Township:
The League of Women Voters of the West Morris Area will host a candidates’ night for the one open 3-year seat representing Mendham Township on the West Morris Regional Board of Education. The two candidates, James Button and Sam Fairchild, will meet Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m, 2008, in the West Morris Mendham High School library, 65 East Main Street, Mendham, NJ. All residents are invited to attend.
The West Morris Regional Board of Education election is scheduled for April 15, 2008.
Each of the candidates will be given an opportunity to address the public in open and closing statements and will answer questions posed by the League of Women Voters and the public. A League moderator from outside of Mendham Township will facilitate the event.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization which encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all citizens of voting age.
